Description
A connection game of a special kind
The object is to connect two opposing sides of the gameboard with your own tiles.
When you conquer a field with three of your pawns, you cover it with one of your tiles and take your pawns back into your supply.
This idea is long-known – BUT:
If there are also opposing pawns in this field, you have to remove the respective number of your own pawns from the board and put the opposing pawns on the spaces vacated.
This exchange of pawns when a field is conquered makes C-CROSS very interesting in terms of play.
The gameboard consists of 16 fields that suggests the shape of a capital “C” – this is where the title of the game comes from.
These 16 fields are recesses cut into the board. This way, a tile slides automatically into the field you have conquered, and adjacent tiles or pawns cannot slip out of position.
