Description
John White Geary was a giant. Erect, gregarious and committed, he stood six feet 6, and 1/2″ and weighed 250 pounds; he towered over others of his time. There is a solitary plaque today alongside Route 31 as it traverses Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania with the Laurel Mountains rising at one side and the Allegheny Plateau on the other.
